The Mississippi Master Chorale* seeks experienced singers with excellent sight-reading skills,

vocal flexibility, and the ability to blend in a choral setting. If you are passionate about

choral music and looking for a challenging, rewarding choral experience, we would love to hear you!

Prospective singers are asked to prepare one song for the audition (art song, aria, folk song, or hymn).

An accompanist will be provided. The Artistic Director will vocalize you to determine range and

evaluate pitch memory, intonation, vocal flexibility, etc. Finally, you will be given a choral piece

and asked to read your voice part while the other parts are played on the piano.

Please direct questions and audition request to manabholz@mc.edu.

*The Mississippi Master Chorale is a new auditioned chamber choir under the auspices of

The Mississippi Chorus organization, and is conducted by Dr. Mark Nabholz, DCA at

Mississippi College and AD of The Mississippi Chorus. Our season runs from late August

through April. We rehearse Monday evenings at 6:00 p.m. at St. Columb’s Episcopal

Church in Ridgeland. Members of The Mississippi Master Chorale will also be members

of the Grande Chorus, which rehearses from 7–9:00 p.m. on Mondays.
