MARK MILLER graduated in 1989 with a B.A. in music from Yale U. and in 1991 with a M. Mus. in organ perfornamce from Julliard. In 1989 he won first prize in the National Organ Competition sponsored by NANM (National Association of Negro Musicians). A native of New Jersey, he is currently Director of Music at the Chatham United Methodist Church in Chatham, NJ, and Director of Music at the Drew University Theological School in Madison, NJ. He is organist for the Nightwatch Program at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City and has played many recitals in the Northeast. He also enjoys composing; he has written an Easter Cantata, two children;s cantatas, a dozen anthems, several organ pieces, handbell anthems, and many pieces for solo voice. Earlier this year (1996) his choral composition "Sweet Hallelujah" was performed at Drew University's commencement before an audience which included Hilary Rodham Clinton.
